Jacob lawler

Jacob, a skilled period flutist specializing in baroque and classical flutes, recently graduated with honors from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under Melissa Farrow's mentorship. He has demonstrated his talents with historically-informed groups like the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Early Music Ensemble and the Australian Haydn Ensemble Emerging Artists. Alongside his performance accomplishments, Jacob is actively engaged in early music scholarship, holding positions as Music Assistant at Pinchgut Opera and Surtitle Supervisor & Operator with Opera Australia. His thesis delved into the contemporary relevance of western-canonic repertoire while adhering to historical performance principles. Currently, Jacob is an emerging artist with both the Australian Haydn Ensemble and the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, expanding on his experience working with Opera Australia.
